Coupling

The physical definition of coupling is an interaction between two systems. From that definition one can begin to understand that the description of the hidden microscopic world behaves much like the visible macroscopic world. As early as the end of the 19th century, a bigger physical understanding emerged, describing all live and still objects as made out of particles called atoms. Those atoms are made out of sub-particles, mainly protons and electrons. Between them a powerful attraction/rejection interaction as the negatively charged electrons circle around the positively charged nucleus made out of protons. Furthermore, similar interaction was observed between atoms as well. The photographs displayed in this exhibition reveal the fascinating analogy between interactions in the physical world and the ones caught by my camera. The legitimization for this analogy is based on the fact that every body in the world is made out of these incredible, forever coupled particles. 

Oren started photographing in 2002. In his photographs he tries to present the viewer "Ordinary" moments out of their conventional context. At the moment he is studying for his applied physics master's degree in the Hebrew University. This exhibition combines his passion for photography and for physics.
